Blue Rose Bowen Therapy closing down

After 6 years I will be closing the doors at Blue Rose Bowen Therapy.

While for many of you this will come as a big shock, I can assure you that I have thought long and hard about this decision.

Over the past 6 years I have made some great relationships, and I have learned so much from you all. You have stood by me and helped me through all of my big life changes, moving out of home, getting married, starting uni, and you have been such a big part of my everyday life.

I have had to cut back from being full time to working only 2 days a week in order to do the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. I know that for many of you, my changing to part time has had an impact. However, over the last couple of years I have also had an increasing amount of health issues; including 3 surgeries in the last 18 months. Additionally I have needed time off the business for recovery, to do placements for uni, and to do exams.

I feel that for my health, it is time to let go. I have talked to other Bowen Therapists in the area, and have got them to include a little information about themselves, so you can find the right person for you.

Revised Opening Hours at Blue Rose

As some of you might know, I have started university this year. I'm studying Occupational Therapy, which will help extend my knowledge of rehabilitation and will also eventually allow better rebates with your Health Care Providers.

Unfortunately this will restrict the hours of my practice. It appears that Fridays will be my main day, but I may be able to offer slots on other days if necessary.

Apologies if this inconveniences anyone, however I feel this additional study will best serve the practice in the long run.

Would you like to learn Bowen? Classes start July 2016

Would you like to learn Bowen Therapy?
There are a few different reasons why people learn Bowen. Some include: career changes, to help loved ones become pain free, or adding to your skills for your existing occupation.

In July, Bowtech will be offering a Cert IV class in Ballarat (Cert IV is the minimum requirement for you to run your own practice).  I will be part of the teaching team.

Bowtech courses in this area are rare, so if you are interested please let me know as places are limited.
Please let me know if you would like more information, or alternatively click here.

My very large splint

Because of complications with my leg injury from last year I have recently had scar revision surgery which means I get to wear a rather large splint covering the length of my left leg. Please don’t be alarmed when you see me limping around, it’s just a minor inconvenience and doesn’t impact on how I do Bowen (other than clomping around a little more than normal!)

It's back to work I go.

What a whirlwind trip! We've been to Paris, Disneyland, London, Penzance, Cardiff, Dr Who, Gloucester, stayed in a castle, went to Warwick Castle, Leeds, Birkenhead, Liverpool and Chester! We've seen a Roman, Star Wars characters, Marvel Superheros, and birds of prey. We have met family I've never even heard of, and had a drink in the Cavern the day before they discovered another Beatles track. We've done so much, but it's back to work now, with treatments starting today. I hope you enjoyed your school holidays

Last Week for treatments!

On Thursday the 17th of September, I will be going on leave. I'll be back on the 13th of October 2015.

But never fear, I will be leaving the business in the capable hands of my parents. They are not Bowen Therapists but they are happy to take bookings and answer any questions, or redirect you to other Bowen Therapists. The phone number is still the same (0427 588 851). You can also still book online here.

Handle and ramp

Yay! We now have handles to help you up steps! We also have a portable ramp, so if you need a ramp, please let me know ahead of your appointment.

Busy week after the Queen's Birthday Weekend 2015

Next week is going to be very busy as I will have to travel to a couple of classes for  my Teacher Training. I still have an appointment on Tuesday morning, and some appointments available on Wednesday, though. You can either book through here, or call on 0427 588 851.Make sure you  don't click New Client though, or I will get very confused!  Image thanks to Eflon.

Don't worry, we're NOT going anywhere!

Hello, as usually, we have lots happening here at Blue Rose, however moving is NOT one of them! Don't worry, our landlord may have sold up but we still have a long term contract here so we're not going anywhere.

Hope you're keeping warm in this Ballarat winter! Don't forget you can help ward off the cold and flu (and recover quicker) with Bowen!

Going on Leave to England

Just a little heads up that I will be on leave from the 17th September till the 12th October, as I'm heading to England (and spending a few days in Paris too) during this time. So make sure if you need any treatments that you get in and get fixed up as soon as you can!
